Decadent Red Wine Lentil Bolognese

  1. In a large saucepan add the Napolina olive oil, followed by the onions, garlic, carrots, celery and season with salt and pepper to your liking then mix together well on a medium heat for a few minutes until they have softened.
  2. Next add the Napolina tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, red wine, whole milk, Napolina lentils and dried oregano and mix together well then cook on a medium heat for half an hour stirring occasionally. The sauce will thicken and darken as it cooks.
  3. Add the cooked Napolina spaghetti and mix together with the bolognese then serve up into four bowls and enjoy!


1 tbsp Napolina olive oil

4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1 can Napolina lentils, drained

1 tbsp Napolina tomato puree

1 can Napolina chopped tomatoes

150g celery, finely chopped

150g carrots, grated

200g onions, finely chopped

100ml Italian red wine

300ml whole milk

400g Napolina spaghetti

3g dried oregano

Sea salt flakes (to taste)

Black pepper (to taste)
