Extra virgin olive oil has a strong, distinctive flavour. Using this oil for high cooking temperatures is not recommended as it will result in an alteration of its flavour.
Uses for extra virgin olive oil? Ideally this oil should be used as a basis for sauces, dips and dressings and for drizzling over salads or pasta.
Is extra virgin olive oil good for you? Olive oils are high in monounsaturated fats, whilst Extra Virgin Olive oil contains some of the highest levels of antioxidants of all oils.
